Anorexia nervosa – selected problems

Increasing incidence of anorexia nervosa (AN), decreasing age of the disease’s onset and therapeutic difficulties are the main reasons for great interest towards problems related to this pathology.The present paper presents selected topics relevant to epidemiology, classification and etiopathogenesis of AN. It also introduces the problem of AN diagnosis in children in pre-pubertal age. It discusses the treatment.
