Propofol at 10 ml/kg or the same volume of saline was intravenously injected into pigs with a computerized infusion pump via the femoral vein 10 min before the start of reperfusion. Lung tissues and blood were collected from pigs at 4 h after reperfusion. Data are expressed as the mean±SD, n=8. ** P<0.01 compared with the sham group, # P<0.05 compared with the IIR+NS group. IIR – intestinal ischemia-reperfusion; NS – normal saline; P – propofol.
