The fitting includes 5 knots: the 5th, 27.5th, 50th, 72.5th, and 95th percentiles. HR (95% CI) was estimated with multivariable Cox regression analysis after adjustment for Model 3. The solid and dashed lines represent point estimates and 95% CIs, respectively. The non-linear trend was significant for the relationship between UA and all-cause and cardiovascular mortality (P for non-linearity ≤0.035).
